Drilling Engineer / Supervisor in the Gulf Of Suez

Work for Egyptian Drilling Company EDC (Joint venture with Maresk) from Augest, 2004 to December, 2005 as a floor man on rig EDC-52 in the Egyptian Western Desert.
Work for Petrogulfmisr Oil Company (Geisum Offshore Oil Co. ) for 5 years from 2006 to date as Drilling Engineer / Supervisor in the Gulf Of Suez .
The work Schedule is 2 weeks at Cairo office & 2 weeks at the offshore rig site.
Worked as Consultant Drilling & W/O supervisor on Daily basis in Khalda Petroleum Co. in Egypt for intermittent periods at my Days off.

Drilling / W-O Engineer Duties

Conducting operations:
In a subsidiary, I am based overseas working on drilling rigs or platforms to prepare operations or take part in intricate operations. I supervise well drilling and help to solve day-today technical problems. In development, I deliver the field, ready for production, to the operator.

Planning and design:
I produce drilling and completion programmes, forecast the timescale and budget for operations, analyze and optimize methods and processes. I select the equipment and control costs. I order and supervise special studies by head office or engineering service companies. I manage the relative budgets.

Contract management, project and drilling site supervision:
At a subsidiary or headquarters, I prepare tenders, produce technical specifications then select suppliers. I take part in the fabrication and acceptance of equipment and manage relations with contractors.

Operations supervision and engineering studies:
At headquarters, I have a role in supervising and assisting with operations and carry out studies for the subsidiaries or other departments.
