Professional Experience
Mr. Appiah K. Eric is presently the Assistant engineer of the Policy and Planning Directorate of the Ministry of Roads and Highways (MRH) since October 10th . He assist the preparation of a cabinet Memo and finally approved by cabinet. This policy was used to prepare the Transport Sector Development Programme. Strategies, outputs, activities and indicators of success were developed for the implementation of the Policy which is ongoing. Under His stewardship key studies which are to shape the future of the ministry and the entire transport sector have either been undertaken or ongoing. These key studies are on the National Transport Policy, the Institutional Reform of the Transport Sector and Integrated Transport Plan (ongoing)..
For three months and up to date, he was involved in recording, preparing programmes and participating in Missions of donor-funded projects during his tenure of service at the Planning and Planning Division of the Ministry of Roads and Highways (MRH). These responsibilities involve interaction with different players and experts both national and international.
Appiah has in-depth knowledge of the procedures managing civil engineering project for serving civil engineering contracting businesses, he has excellent knowledge in the application of Microsoft Project in monitoring the progress of projects.
His technical expertise span(4) years of Detailed Design and Supervision of projects, planning of programmes, procurement of works and goods.
He spearheaded the preparation of the Transport Sector Development Programme which involves all the Transport Sub-sectors i.e. Harbour and Rail, Aviation, Maritime, Lake Transport and Roads.

Upon completing his university education in 2009, he joined the MRH where after completing an 12 months in-service training was for the initial 3 months assigned to assist the engineering division for road construction projects
