Rig site operation
Conducting ones self to the standards of Company’s Policies and Procedures. Support line management with the co-ordination of health and safety effort.
Maintain a good working environment in all working areas and ensure good housekeeping and safe working conditions.
Advising rig management on the identification of hazards and assessment of risk associated with Injury or ill health of personnel, Damage of equipment, tools.
Conduct orientation and train the new employees regarding Health and Safety awareness on the rig site.
Advising rig management on the provision and use of protective clothing and equipment, safety and suitability of new equipment, and ensuring all appropriate test certificates and technical instructions are obtained.
Provide information to Management on accidents/incidents in a timely manner according to established NDIL and Operator procedures.
Oversee implementation of operational systems and procedures to include but not limited to: Permit to Work System, Lock-out/Tag-out System.
Ensure work permits and hot work permits are approved by the Rig Managers/Tool pushers and Company representative or his designate and that all checks are carried out prior to starting the work and as required there after.
Ensure that all work permits have JSA/Risk Assessment and a pre job meeting has been held with all participants prior to work being performed.
Implementation of emergency response plans, fire fighting procedure & fire prevention.
Conducts rig safety induction for all visitors and new employees.
Provide New Hire training for the new employees.
Complying with the Air Quality test requirements from Saudi Aramco.
Conduct onsite H˛S awareness training that will include emergency response, how to don SCBA and other associated topics.
Lead and/or participate in daily morning safety meetings.
Conduct regular training drills and make and/or file reports on such drills.
Monitor compliance against the monthly HSE schedule
Oversee implementation of SMART program on rig-site.
Conducting risk assessment prior to the job being performed.
Lead and/or participate in an Incident Investigation finding the root causes and analyzing and make presentation.
