Pipeline Engineer (Offshore/Onshore)

A flowline engineer with cognate experience in development of an offshore Field seeking a role in the FEED and/or Detailed Design team as a flowline engineer.

Position: Flowline Engineer
• Wall thickness verification to ensure chosen wall thickness of Pipelines can withstand the Hoop stress generated by internal pressure and the external pressure generated in and around the Pipeline.
• Assessing the impact of vortex induced vibrations (inline and cross flow) on free span of Pipeline on the sea bed and proposal of remedial action for free span through selection of mattress height, rock dumping or installation of supports made of pipe.
• On-Bottom Roughness Analysis using SAGE Profile 2D to check for the length of the Spans if it is within the allowable spans and analyze the various stresses experienced at those spans that do not fall within the allowable.
• Development of Spreadsheet for the calculation of Wall thickness Sizing and Collapse thickness Using DNV OS-F101

• On-bottom Stability Analysis verification
• Preparation of a help document on the usage of GeoUTM routing tool for self and colleagues on the USAN project.
• On-bottom Roughness Analysis.
• Development of Spreadsheet for the splitting of forces and Stresses PIP Production flowlines.
• OBR sensitivity analysis on the Lay Corridors using SAGE Profile 2D.
• Preparation of result summary for the nominal, 5m, 10m and 15m lay corridors.
• Route Profile Generation/ Slope determination using GEOUTM Routing Software.
• Bend Capacity Calculations of SHR jumpers using Abaqus FEA.
• Jumper expansion analysis in the as-landed and operation conditions using Abaqus.
