Training Management/Learning Systems Developer

I am seeking a position in training management and/or learning systems development. I am also capable of systems development outside the training area.

Current Position: (since 2001): Technology Team Lead; Canadian Nexen Petroleum Yemen. My current position has responsibility for data management of training processes, i.e. the training schedule, training requirements and completion tracking, individual development plan standardisation and reporting. I have developed in-house learning management systems to manage the above processes. I developed a Critical Task System which is used to define requirements and track compliance in Critical Tasks (high safety impact tasks) in Production, Maintenance and Oil Movements. In addition I am responsible for coordination of all training delivery related to IT including SAP training. I supervise a small team.

I have 16 years experience of systems development using Visual Basic and MS Access. I am an experienced and certified software developer and have specialised in the development of in-company learning management systems.

I have 26 years experience of teaching/training in-company and also in third level colleges. My principal area of expertise in terms of training delivery is in Information Technology; SAP, Programming (Visual Basic), Database Design and MS Office Applications (Word, Excel, Access, MS Project), Lotus Notes.

I have 9 years experience in a supervisory role. I supervise the work of my team in both systems development and teaching.

Prior Position:(1994-2001): Information Technology Faculty, Higher Colleges of Technology, Dubai, United Arab Emirates
I was responsible for developing and teaching courses in Programming (Visual Basic), Database Design, Web Design, MS Office Applications (Word, Excel, Access).
