Currently I’m working at Alpha Systems a consultant company as an oracle database administrator consultant where I received training for 8i, 9i and 10g DBA course

SOME OF THE PROJECTS ACCOMPLISHED AT ALPHA

1. Installation of Oracle Application Server
Worked on a Project at Air Zimbabwe to install Oracle 10g application server which is now currently running an application called Macator. Installed Oracle 9i Database and 10g application server on Windows NT

2. Mirroring of Oracle 9i Database
Worked on a project at Pension to mirror Oracle in such a way that if one database goes down the other one quickly takes over. The mirroring is on Solaris 10 operating system. Managed to install Oracle on the two servers at Pension for their Payroll Application called Nettpay.



3. Monthly Database Maintenance
Maintenance of client database at client sites to name a few Imara Capital, Renaissance Securities, EFE Securities and New Africa Securities. All these clients are currently running on Oracle 9i Database. I implemented backup scripts for all them, moreover doing monthly maintenance and performance tuning and writing of reports on work done at each client. Assisted in slashing of zeros at Imara Capital and Renaissance Securities

4. Slashing of Zeros at AON
Worked on a project at AON to implement a test server running on Oracle 9i and did the Slashing of zeros.

I hold an Advanced Diploma in IT majoring in Network Engineering at the National Institute of Information Technology (N.I.I.T.) Avondale Centre. and I studied at The University of Zimbabwe where I obtained a Bachelor of Business Studies & Computing Science Degree

I am currently working on cisco and oracle certification
