Career Objective
To work as a member of a PMT (either client or contractor)on major upstream oil/gas/water projects (Terminal, Pipeline, CPF, Gathering Systems, Water Distribution Systems, Well Platform Development etc, in site mechanical/struct/civil roles.
Professional Experience
I started my career as an Apprentice Draughtsman in 1971 with Redpath Dorman Long Ltd (a subsidiary of the British Steel Corporation (BSC)). Between 1971 and 1976 I was awarded the General Certificate in Engineering (G-Course) 1972, ONC in Mechanical Engineering 1974, and HNC in Engineering 1976, with an endorsement in the Theory of Structures. While I was employed by RDL, I attended an In-House Design Course and promoted to Structural Steelwork Designer. In order to further my experience I decided to leave and go contracting in 1978. Since 1980 I have spent most of my time working and living overseas, employed in the Engineering and Construction sectors on major Oil & Gas, and other Industries. My roles are in the Managerial, Engineering and Supervisory sectors, as a member of the PMT, both client and contractor.
