RECENT EXPERIENCE:
March 2008 – December-2009: Newpoint Gas, Process Design Engineer
[College Station, TX]
•Prepare and review Process Flow Diagram (PFD) and Piping & Instrumentation
Diagrams (P&ID).
•Perform line sizing, sizing of control valves, pressure safety valve (PSV),
heat exchanger, re-boiler, air cooler, compressor,and other such equipment
using PROMAX simulation.
•Ensure that all aspects of project design and development are performed in a
timely, cost-effective and efficient manner.
•Developed Material Selection Worksheet for selection of appropriate metallurgy
for various process equipment & piping.
•Responsible for making sure that all standard design criteria are applied to
each specific project for consistency.
•Coordinate between Process, Mechanical, and I&E Engineering disciplines.
•Visit plant site for inspection and start-up operations and troubleshoot
mechanical and process equipment.
•Perform engineering calculations, process simulations, heat & material
balances, line schedules, process equipment data sheets and instrument data
sheets.
•Performed simulation models for Gas processing plants (Amine treating units,
membrane unit, & TEG/Mole Sieve Dehydration units).

•Prepare and review Process Flow Diagrams (PFD), Piping & Instrumentation
Diagrams (P&ID), Material Selection Diagrams (MSD), process equipment,
instrument & special item specifications, and datasheets.
•Monitor and operate the pilot plant which produce SYN gas and then convert
into diesel fuel.
•Perform process simulation using HYSIS.
•Perform cost analysis, and conduct feasibility studies for proposed equipment
process and systems.
•Attend process safety reviews as necessary, such as HAZOPS, LOPA, and ensure
that all agreed upon recommendations and changes resulting from such review
are incorporated into the design.
•Author training documents and SOPs for Auto-thermal Reactor (ATR), FTR, and
GTU gas treatment unit, Fulton heating systems, changing catalyst in ATR, FTR,
Sulfa-Bind Vessel and other process equipments
•Use honey well hc900 hybrid controller to control and monitor Gas to liquid
(GTL) Plant.
