* Office Engineer, Portlands Energy Center - a 550MW natural gas fired combined cycle power plant project co-owned by Ontario Power Generation Inc. & TransCanada Energy Ltd., Toronto, ON (Jul'07 - Aug '08)

• Developed and implemented systems for managing, tracking and documenting the team’s measures to ensure that the contractor fulfils its obligations per the EPC contract
• Supported the QA/QC team in a technical role through routine field surveillance to ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, practices, project specifications or drawings
• Prepared Requests for Information (RFI) to seek clarification or secure the contractor’s proposed resolution for identified issues and tracked the status of each using an electronic log
• Reviewed design, material and process control deliverables such as Design Change Notices, Inspection & Test Plans, etc. and updated documents to reflect any modifications
• Participated in final walk-down inspections to note any potential punch list issues prior to contractor’s transfer of the custody, care and control of plant systems to the Owner
• Improved and executed team's review process for commissioning documentation of plant systems. Reduced turnaround time from 10 to 6 business days
• Liaised with contractor personnel to achieve common goals on commissioning deliverables
• Prepared weekly progress and monthly board reports for updating higher management
• Pursued various technical assignments through to completion for the Project Engineer
• Managed incoming intern’s workload during transitional period to ensure his early contribution
