GENERAL WORK EXPERIENCE SUMMARY
•Thirty-eight years experience within the quality control & quality assurance industry related to the manufacture & testing of components utilised in the oil & gas industry
•Attending pre-production / inspection meetings and kick-off meetings as client’s representative, reviewing vendors inspection & test plans, non-destructive testing procedures, welding procedures, repair welding procedures & coating procedures
•Co-coordinating inspection of third party inspection agencies for project work. Combined with a great deal of experience in procedure qualification testing and NACE corrosion testing. In depth experience supervising & training Third World National inspectors in a Middle-east work environment
•Site installation quality control issues also covered for most major clients, specially pipeline storage / installation & testing. Management of quality control site inspectors and review / distribution of daily / weekly quality reports
•Sales experience in relation to non-destructive testing equipment and general sales of inspection services
•In depth knowledge of major European and Japanese pipe/plate manufacturers and coating plants. Experience working at a coating plant specialising in down-hole tubulars, drill pipe, casing & tubing
•Experienced working as both Company representative and Contractors representative
•Inspection experience with O.C.T.G. tubulars & down hole products, along with the application & testing of internal plastic coatings of oilfield tubular products
Recent project work has involved:
•Project quality manager for Acergy SA, working on the ANGOLA LNG Project works up to offshore installation
•Working in India as site manager on behalf of GL, Abu Dhabi, for the manufacture & testing of longitudinally welded line pipe, with FBE & 3LPE corrosion coating
•Working as a Project Quality Engineer, Technip SA. Engaged on the QATAR GAS projects working in Paris, France & the UAE.
•Commissioning coordinator, longitudinal weld pipe mill, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Engaged as specialist for the installation & refurbishment of mechanical testing & non-destructive testing equipment. Assisted in recruitment campaign visiting India, Indonesia & the Philippines for all levels of pipe mill employees
