PROCUREMENT ENGINEER

A mechanical engineer with more than 20 years experience in Procurement

 Receiving the procurement plan, from the Department superiors, search for the suitable product from the correct vendor, within the registered vendor in the company’s data bank & send the vendors list to the client for approval

 Framing project terms & conditions of purchase, in coordination with the commercial department.

 Sending enquiries for quotation to registered vendors for procuring goods or services in line with the procurement procedures. Collecting the bids from vendors. Coordinate with th concerned Engineers to clarify the pre-bid doubts from vendors.

 Analyze the commercial bids and arrange bid clarification meetings
 Update the enquiry status and bid clarification request.
 Prepare comparative statements and pricing analysis and recommend contract awards. Meeting with the bidders for commercial negotiations and conclude on techno commercial requirements.
 Make purchasing decisions based on specific strategy, need and in line with procurement procedures.
 Confirm that a correct Purchase order is secured, from the successful vendor, prior to take over expediting.
 Release the purchase orders and obtain the acknowledgements within the procurement procedure & within the company’s terms & conditions.
 Maintain the day to day follow-up of the vendors and monitor vendor performance after completion of the project with respect to Quality, schedule, service and performance.
 Updating myself for new trends and proactively stay appraised on new products
 Maintain awareness on new products and proactively stay appraised on new trends, products development etc..,
 Prepare reports periodically and measure the productivity for each project.
 Find out new vendors and encourage them for register with the company
 Perform any related or unrelated duties as and when required
