Scope of work:
380 Km Cross country pipeline of ¡§API 5L GRDE X70¡¨ size 48¡¨ (17.5, 20.7, 25mm thickness) Gas gathering flow line
Nature of Work in Pipeline Project:

1)Preparation of welding procedure specification ( WPS ) and procedure qualification Record (PQR),conducting welder qualification test (WQT) under the provisions of ASME Section IX
2)Welder Qualification, Material Review, Conformation of work as per project procedures, Quality assurance of equipments, Materials & Consumables, Co-ordinate with NDT personnals for NDT coverages, AUT, RT flim interpretation, MUT, LPT, Quality documentations.
3)Joint coating inspection, Laying of pipeline and all activities of QA/QC documentation recorded and submittion.
4)Co-ordinate with QC Department, to meet the NDT Requirements.
5)Record maintained dimensional data and standard configurations for fittings.
6)Erection of Equipments and machinery.



Worked as a ¡§QC ENGINEER in CHENNAI METTEX LAB PVT LTD¡¨ (NABL Certificate Laboratory) Period of June 2008 to Jan 2009.

Nature of Work:
Testing of various mechanical properties as mentioned below for various Ferrous, Non- Ferrous metals by using IS and ASTM methods.
„X Checking of Ultimate tensile strength, Yield strength (Proof Stress), % Elongation, % Reduction in Area.
„X Bend Test, Rebend test.
„X Compression and Expansion Loads.
„X Welder Qualification Test.
„X Hardness (Brinell, Rockwell, Vickers).
„X Micro Hardness (Vickers).
„X Impact Testing (Charpy & Izod).

Role and Responsibilities:
„X Responsible for carrying out the inspection in Mechanical Division.
„X Responsible for preparation of test reports under the Guidance of Quality manager.
„X Responsible for maintenance of equipment and instruments of Mechanical division under the guidance of Quality manager.
