Sir, I, Salim Mohammed wish to apply for suitable post in your organization relevant to my experience. I am presently working in Sugar Corporation of Uganda ltd as a Manager, Central Workshop.

Experience:

Sugar Corporation of Uganda Ltd:

I am working as a Manager (central workshop) since Sept. 2004. I am responsible for the maintenance of cane handling equipments like; cat loaders 938G, cat stacker 926E, Komatsu wheel loaders WA150, Komatsu dozer D60 and BEML Wheel loader (656-1). Cane handling machines like bell loaders and cameco loaders. Plantation machines like D3CSA, dozer cat, D40 Komatsu dozers and D5 cat dozers. O & K graders, Komatsu grader D9H cat dozer. Material handling machines like forklift & Ormig crane. Cameco sprayer and loader. Massey Ferguson and New Holland tractors. And Cummins D.G set. And total fleet of 254 in the group. Specialized in hydraulics. All the administration activities including the manpower, p.r for spares and fuel.


Sango Bay Estates Ltd:
Worked as a workshop manager, I was responsible for maintenance of all the equipments (John Deere tractors, combined harvesters, DG sets John Deere excavators, CAT equipments and hydraulic) implements and workshop.


Tilda Uganda Ltd:
Worked as workshop Manager since 2000. I was dealing with all diesel related engines and hydraulics, all heavy earth moving machines like wheel loaders, graders, bull dozers, compact rollers, CAT excavators, Deutz and Parkins engines.


Al – Fahd Ltd UAE:
(1998 – 1999) worked as a section head dealing with caterpillars, Komatsu, DG sets, trucks (Scania, Volvo, M Benz).


Spencon Services:
East Africa (1996 – 19998). Handled projects in construction of roads, water management and buildings. Designated as Mechanical Foreman, I dealt with heavy earth moving equipments, water pumps and diesel & petrol engines.




Yanbu Cement:
Saudi Arabia (1992 – 1995). Worked as diesel mechanic for all earth moving equipments, overhauling of transmission, torque converters and diesel related engines.

ACC, India: I worked as apprentice as diesel mechanic for a period of 2 years.

Training: Attended one year course in Industrial Training Institute in India, with BTRI classes and Finance for non Finance executives in SCOUL.

Education - SSC Passed from CBSE board.
- ITI passed in Diesel Mechanic trade.
- Apprentice done in ACC Cement Company.
- Attended the B.T.R.I. classes.
- Diploma in Automobile engg. (Correspondence)

Strength: Competent in all areas of hydraulic systems, diesel & petrol engines, transmission, torque converters, running breakdowns, modifications and sourcing machinery spares at competitive prices. Have experience of working with own hands on most of the machines, undercarriage of track machines. And operating the IMS (inventory management) system in the spares, lubricants, and fuel for the complete fleet of the company. + ERP (Enterprises Resource Planning) system. Computer knowledge added advantage.
