Instrumentation Technician

Performer, results-oriented, can do multi-tasking, can work under pressure and with less supervision, willing to work overtime and willing to be trained.

Primary duties and responsibilities:
- Maintain, process and control instrumentation of 125MW FCRS such as:
1. Testing, repair, calibrate and commission field, transmitter such as Rosemount, Yokogawa, ABB, pressure, flow and level transmitters.
2. Commission, calibrate and troubleshoot pneumatic control valves like Fisher, Rosemount, Valtek, Masoneilan, James Bury, Elomatic and Meridian.
3. Commission, calibrate and troubleshoot motorize actuator like Rotork "A" range, Rotork IQ Pro model and its Pakscan IIE Controller.
4. Troubleshoot and calibrate pressure, flow, differential, level and temperature controls/switch.
5. Maintain DCS control like APACS (Moore) and Delta V (Emerson).
6. Maintain and calibrate PH meters, flamephotometer, pressure relief valves.
- Maintain and troubleshoot electrical equipment like:
7. INGER SOLRAND 60HP air compressor, air dryer and its instrumentation.
8. Uninterruptible power supply and its chloride battery charger.
9. Automatic transfer switch, 175kw genset.
10. Relay protection GE Multilin 565, 269, 750, MTM and GE MM II motor control protection and VFD motor controllers.
11. Medium voltage switch gear, 480V 100HP, 4160 3 phase motors, electrical dosing pumps, 5MVA Transformers.
- Install, maintain and troubleshoot mini-PABX for telephone system.
- Install and repair of air conditioning units and exhaust fans.
- Supervise contractor jobs such as power/signal cable lay outing and other related activities concerning with electrical and instrumentation.
- Uses test and calibration instruments for troubleshooting equipment malfunctions.
- Installs control cables, terminates conductors, wire circuits and install tubing. Installs underground/overhead conduit, cable trays, pull cable, terminate conductors, spice cable and wire circuits.
- Performs new installation works or modification works of existing instrument installation as per planned or as directed by superiors.
- Adheres to and supports all Company Safety and Environmental rules, policies and procedures.
- Performs other duties as directed by superiors and Management such as troubleshooting and repair of hydraulic system and instrumentation of heavy equipment like P & H Cranes and Belt Link lifting equipments and calibrating baths.
