Control and Instrument Engineer

• Working in Western Desert "ABU – SANNAN" Gas Plant with capacity of 85 MMSCF/DAY.

• To join Control & Instruments team (Engineers, Foremen and Technicians), Participate in the following :
o To give a maintenance plan for the gas plant equipments, Manage and execute routine maintenance activities, Participate in troubleshooting and correction of technical problems reported by operator.
o To plan and execute equipment overhaul, Plant routine breakdown and planned maintenance activities, Prepare work scheduling, Supervise and monitor job progress.
o To arrange all work permits from operation/plant authority for different activities (routine maintenance, overhauls, installation...).
o To re-engineer & implement any required changes in the control system to improve plant performance.
o To study different technical offers (material request offers, upgrading proposals...) and give a decision.

• Have a good chance to get a practical experience with:
o RUSTON Gas Turbines.
o WAUKESHA Gas Engines.
o DRESSER RAND, AJAX, DELVAL STORK, INGRESOLL RAND Compressors.
o Fire & Gas detection systems (DET-TRONICS)
o Vibration monitoring systems (BENTLY NEVADA)
o Different types of field instruments

• Participated in the following projects:
o Installation of a new “AJAX” gas compressor.
o Control system upgrade for “Propane compressor” unit; upgrade the control system from relay based control to a plc based one.
o Control system upgrade for the main plant; upgrade the control system from relay based control to DCS system. (In progress)
o SCADA system upgrade for a gas compression substation. (In progress)
o “RUSTON” gas turbine control system retrofit. (In progress)
o Control system upgrade for “Gas Compressor”, “Air Compressor”, “Heater”; upgrade the control system from relay based control to a plc based one. (In progress)

• Fields of responsibility during projects:
o To assist in project budget estimation , Engineering study ,Giving project specifications, Giving comments about contractors technical proposals and if it is valid for our objectives or not.
o To participate in technical activities (P&ID and logic diagrams arrangement, system modification precautions...).
o To establish a kind of coordination with other departments for any arrangements needed for the job execution.
o Following up the project progress, reports to ensure the completion of project on schedule.

• BSC in Electronics & Communication Engineering, Cairo University, Graduated in 2001 with pass degree, project: excellent degree.
• Diploma in "Telecommunication systems", NTI– National Telecommunications Institute, 2004 with good degree.

• TOEFL certified – 2009, CLT – Center of Foreign Languages & Professional Translation, Cairo University.
• SIEMENS Certified for the following:
o Basics of PLC.
o Basics of DC Drives.
o Basics of AC Motors.
o Basics of AC Drives.
• ALLEN BRADLEY Certified for RSVIEW32.
• PLC Architecture and basic programming.
• Instrument calibration series (Flow & Level instruments).
• Basics of pneumatics.
• Maintenance of gas compressors.
• Working with “MAXIMO”, which is an ORACLE based tool used for maintenance management.
