Career Objective
I would like to secure a petroleum/reservoir engineering job in the Middle East. I am very much commited to attaining the a job that can bring out the best in my capabilities.
Professional Experience
Petroleum Engineer
I am the engineer responsible for coordinating the company’s interests in the PNG LNG project that is being operated by Exxon Mobil Limited.
This work includes,Representation at all technical committee meetings,Provide technical input to operator and JV related,Review all work programs and provide our companies technical justification before CoV vote.
Work undertaken:
As part of this work I was able to review and understand the Geological models and reservoir simulation work of the Operator of the PNG LNG project Exxon Mobil-Non Associated Gas fields and the Operator of Oil fields Oil Search-Associated gas fields. This work also entailed the review of the well designs and well placement for efficient gas production in new gas fields and how the operator accounts for large pressure drops at the well head or the accounting of Non-Darcy flow.
• The reserves certification by an independent reserves certifier Netherland and Sewell and Associates Inc., introduced me to the mechanics used by the certifier to quantify reserves figures and the rationale behind the reserves numbers attained.
My input into the technical aspects and review of cost enables the management and board of Petromin to be well informed so that any outstanding issues are cleared and the management makes well informed input and decisions on project ballots.
INTEROIL ELK/ANTELOPE
I was the engineer responsible for undertaking technical due diligence on this investment opportunity.
The technical due diligence encompassed a review of all data from subsurface to field development plans and economic analyses to determine if the project was economically viable for Petromin to invest in this project.
In April of 2010 I was able to participate in a joint study between Petromin and Japex on Interoil’s Elk/Antelope carbonate reservoir field. This study involved
Geology,Seismic interpretation using Kingdom software, Log Interpretation using the Interactive Petrophysics software,Calculation of a Reserves
Engineering,Geo-modeling using Petrel software,Reservoir simulation using VIP software,Case studies were undertaken to observe the impacts of alterations to rock properties for history matching, Placement of wells and effects to Hydrocarbon recovery , altering surface facility requirements such as separation stages to see the effects on Condensate gas yields.
