Maintenance Engineer

I am an experienced Maintenance Engineer familiar with Project, Process and Facility Management.

I have numerous years of “hands on experience” and have been involved in the Oil and Gas sector, both onshore and offshore.
My experience includes the following – Comprehensive knowledge of Maintenance Techniques, Practices and Methods pertaining to the maintenance and commissioning of all types of process, rotating and static equipment. (Able to perform and participate in the preventive, predictive, diagnostic and condition monitoring and maintenance of all rotating, mechanical and fixed equipment). Familiar with Maintenance Management Systems. (Root cause failure analysis, incident investigations, preventive and predictive maintenance, general maintenance and mechanical design issues). Good understanding and experience in the implementation of maintenance programs, maintenance philosophies such as equipment strategies, RBI, Predictive Maintenance and RCM. Improvement strategies to reduce maintenance cost and increase mechanical reliability. Effective and efficient management of all maintenance programs and activities to ensure the proper and safe operating condition of assets and equipment. Development of Maintenance Strategies using the methodology of analyzing the criticality of the equipment of a plant (taking in consideration local regulations) and then developing maintenance strategies for the equipment. The typical strategies would include using best practices and required codes. Examples of best practices would include predictive maintenance for rotating equipment (vibration analyses, lube oil analyses and performance monitoring) rather than the conventional manufacturer's recommendation, electrical best practices such as infra red scanning rather than labor intensive maintenance. (Such practices are cost effective and reliable).
General knowledge of API and ASME codes, vibration analysis and equipment lubrication programs. Experienced in producing and controlling all types of Maintenance contracts, budgets and expenditures.
Good interpersonal and communication skills. Able to think accurately and work efficiently when under pressure. Absorb new techniques and information quickly, use experience, analysis and common sense when planning, troubleshooting and decision making. Strong management and motivational skills with regards fostering teamwork and highly skilled in the management of both expatriates and foreign nationals.
