Professional Experience

September 26, 2008 until March 16, 2010: Schlumberger Senior Wireline Field Engineer, based in Iquitos Peru (Amazon jungle) running wireline logging services for different clients in harsh humid conditions of the amazon jungle. As team leader and the onsite Schlumberger representative, I was the main interface with the client at the well site, responsible for the safety, quality and efficiency of each jungle project, which included managing a crew and being responsible for the vehicles, tools and equipment used on the job that are worth millions of dollars.

• September 26, 2007 - September 26, 2008: International Mobile Wireline Field Engineer based in Talara, Peru, working both onshore and offshore for various clients across the north part of Peru. Required to be available to perform duties on short notice, day or night, my responsibilities included planning and preparing for well site operations, supervising Junior Field Engineers and Operator crews in the preparation of units and calibration of equipment. I conducted Wireline well site operations to the satisfaction of customers at well site, while assuring adherence to all safety regulations. I maintained customer relations by establishing a positive image and confidence in the quality of services and ensured the confidentiality of all logging operations. I submitted all required reports and completed all logs for printing on location, and performed maintenance on all equipment once the service was done.

• September 26, 2006 – September 26, 2007: Joined Schlumberger Oilfield Services in Whitecourt, Alberta, Canada, as Junior Field Engineer, and was then promoted to Field Engineer on June 1, 2007. With temperatures as low as minus 35 degree Celsius, I worked on a physically and mentally demanding job of bringing hydrocarbons to the market. I assisted in planning and preparing for well site operations. I took Wireline Services equipment to customer locations, rigging up and running operations on location under the instructions of a lead logging engineer. I was the Interface with customer representatives and onboard crew. I performed maintenance on operational and auxiliary equipment when finishing the service as well as other duties and special assignments as assigned.

Eductation

Graduated on July 11, 2005 with a degree of 2:1, Master in Engineering with Honours in Electronic Engineering from the University of Nottingham, United Kingdom.

Sat for 7 O-levels and 3 A-levels and got the following results:
O-levels: Mathematics (A), English Language (A), Physics (A), Chemistry (A), Biology (A), Human Biology (A), Classical Arabic (A).

Additional Information

Completed Oilfield Services training and orientation (OFS1) course in Sugar Land, Texas, USA. Course involved a broad overview of the Oilfield Exploration and Production Industry.

• Completed a three months course (PEPTEC 1) in Kellyville, Oklahoma, USA. Course covered intense theoretical and practical training of the basic wireline services up to proficiency of running a basic wireline job.

• Completed QHSE 2 course in Airdrie, Canada. Course provided participants with skills to implement the QHSE Management System and QHSE programs (Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment).

• Completed a two weeks course (PEPTEC 2) in Middle East Training Centre, Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emarates. Course covered theoretical and practical training of the more advanced wireline services.

• Completed a two weeks course (PEPTEC 3) in Kellyville, Oklahoma, USA. Course covered theoretical and practical training of production wireline services.

• Completed NEST course in Airdrie, Canada. Course involved: radiation awareness, fall protection, first aid, transportation of dangerous goods, workplace hazardous materials information system, H2S Alive, petroleum safety training program, workplace fire safety, fall protection basics, standard first aid, and spill responder.

• Completed Light Vehicle Training course in Airdrie, Canada. Course involved training on how to control cars and pickups in harsh conditions and icy roads.
