BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER (May 2009 – Present date)Madrid, Spain

To Establish and promote contact with potential clients, detect future prospects and assure the Company’s participation in the bidding stage.
Suggest and lead the strategy for the bids, i.e. partnerships, subcontracting, etc
Actively participate in the proposals commercial, contractual, legal and economic aspects, coordinating the contractual aspects and the financial and tax requirements

OIL & GAS PROPOSAL MANAGER (Feb 2008 – April 2009) Madrid, Spain
Responsible for interpreting the Customer’s invitation to bid requirements and assuring its completion.
Managing and directing the internal preparation of tenders, coordinating the different departments involved (technicians, procurement, legal, fiscal, etc…) to obtain the necessary information for the bid.
Provide oversight and coaching of transactions related to technical, financial and commercial inputs to support strategy development and risk management process

2. GENERAL ELECTRIC – Oil and Gas – Nuovo Pignone

PROJECT ENGINEER FOR ROTATING MACHINERY PACKAGES SUPPLY – DOWNSTREAM AND POWER GENERATION APPLICATIONS (Mar 2005 – Jan 2008)Florence, Italy

Responsible for the engineering of the assigned projects in terms of scope of supply, timely delivery, quality, compliance with contract scope. Assigned projects include within others: centrifugal compressors, reciprocating compressors, steam turbines and gas turbines (mechanical and generation drive);
Coordinates discipline engineers to prepare and deliver design in compliance with Engineering company standards & Customer contractual requirements;
Performs Project design / status review for each technical area of assigned responsibility;
Coordinates activities pertinent to projects quality. Ensure the resolution of engineering design and test problems.

3. TECHNIP ITALY S.P.A.

SITE QUALITY CONTROL MANAGER (Jan 2001- Feb 2005)

Implementation of Construction quality program complying with ISO9000 series;
Implementation of all site inspections activities using a staff of inspectors covering all construction disciplines: civil, mechanical, piping, electrical and instrumentation;

MATERIAL TECHNOLOGY ENGINEER (Jan 1998- Dec 2000) Rome, Italy

Mechanical Engineering Degree granted by the National University in Colombia in December 1997.
