CPT operator/engineer & Geophysical engineer

To find an offshore position that can offer an exciting role that will give me a challenge and that will eventually lead to supervisory or managerial role.

Working on different vessels and platforms around different countries from West Africa, Israel, Middle East, Egypt, Europe and the North Sea on Geophysical surveys & Geotechnical drilling vessels and drilling platforms. Pipeline and cable route surveys, drop-coring, CPT, vibro-coring, anchor clearance surveys, port surveys, debris detection surveys, site surveys and shallow multi-channel seismic surveys. Disciplines I was involved in were fault finding, repair and maintenance of electrical, mechanical, electronic, computer and electromechanical equipment. Installation of equipment and data communications networks onboard vessels and platforms. Installation and interfacing of equipment on remotely operated vehicles. Installing and operating analogue and digital equipment. Data acquisition and interpretation. Working as a roustabout / roughneck when needed also.
Some of the equipment I have used includes Roson, Wison, A.p.v.d.berg software, Edge-tech, Klein, Ixsea, Sonar dyne, Seatronics, Coda 200/2000, Veripos, Quinsy, Multilink, TTS, Seal, Sonar Side Scan, Sub bottom profiler , Magnetometer, Drop Core, Grab sampler, CPT, mini-streamer, Seismic Streamer and software (TTS) & (Seal).

Jan 10 – Current: CPT Engineer/Operator. Ashdod Port, Mobilising drill platforms, CPT operations
and Piston Sampling (down-hole) on jack-up rig platforms of Ashdod Port, Israel. Operating and maintaining the CPT tool and Piston sampler and recording data for the Geotechnical department for the future extension of Ashdod Port, Israel. Advising driller’s, roughnecks and roustabouts before, during and after the process of lowering the tools down the drill pipe and completing the process. Roughnecking when no work on CPT is required.

Dec 09 – Jan 10: CPT Engineer. Fugro Alluvial, CPT operating of the German sector for.
Nordsee Windpower. Building & dismantling the rod string during deployment
and recovery of the CPT unit. Instructing the winch operator during deployment
and recovery of the CPT unit while following health & safety. Fugro Commander
