Assistant Chief Accountant at Ship & Crew – Egypt

Reviews and follows-up cost accountant and treasury accountant tasks and responsibilities.
? Participates in cost analysis and rate studies, and guides subordinates.
? Participates in the preparation and issuance of various financial statements and reports.
? Reports monthly, quarterly, and annually company financial reports to CEO
? Develops annual budget and provide management team with actual versus budget analysis
? Reviews financial statements with management personnel.
? Prepares statements and reports of estimated future costs and revenues. Prepare reports, which
summarize and forecast company business activities and financial position in areas of income,
expenses, and earnings, based on past, present and expected operations.
? Supervises the installation and maintenance of accounting records to show receipts and
expenditures.
? Supervises the maintenance of general and subsidiary ledgers, accounts receivable, revenue
distribution, depreciation, cost, property, and operating expenses, and insurance records.
? Supervises internal audits involving review of accounting and administrative controls.
? Coordinates preparation of external audit materials and external financial reporting.
? Inform superiors and relevant functional units continuously and in good time of important
occurrences, discrepancies and extravagance within incumbent's area of responsibility.
? Monitoring of cash flow through preparation of cash budgets and funding requests to ensure
that sufficient cash is always available to meet operational needs.
? Explore ways to cut costs without compromising quality.
? Monitor and control accounts receivables, and maintain a credit rating list and policy to be
reported to management, when necessary, to reduce bad debt risk. Manages difficult or
emotional customer situations; responds promptly to customer needs to meet commitments.
