Career Objective
Reservoir sedimentologist with 6 years experience of describing and interpreting carbonate and clastic successions for reservoir models. North Sea and Middle East experience. Seeking new challenges.
Professional Experience
•Strong background in sedimentology and facies modelling, including interpretation of sedimentary facies from cores, well logs and seismic data.
•Experience in the Middle Jurassic, offshore Mid-Norway (MSc-thesis on Garn Formation, Halten Terrace), Cretaceous of Danish North Sea, Eocene and Miocene Gulf of Suez, Cretaceous Western Desert of Egypt, Triasic in Syria, Miocene of Nile Delta and Jurassic – Cretaceous of Komombo Basin Aswan area. Trained on submarine fan plays offshore Nile Delta (Oligocene through Pliocene).
•Geological consulting, Geological/Sedimentological interpretation of recovered core material and well logs. Geological modelling (3D models). Modelling software includes Petrel, Archview, Geographix and GeoGis.
•Geotechnical consulting, evaluation of slope stability and geohazards, field explorations and laboratory testing, inspection of foundation elements and offshore geotechnic.
•Preparation of and writing of Geological/Geotechnical reports.
•Core logging (clastic deposits and carbonates) and petrography
Eductation
September 2002: B.Sc in general geology from University of Copenhagen.B.Sc-project was done on the deltaic Cretaceous Atane Formation, West Greenland. It involved interpretation of sedimentary facies and depositional envirnment from recovered core material (60 m) as well as description of petrology and diagenetic alterations from thin section material.
2005: MSc in geology/sedimentology from University of Copenhagen. Master thesis was done on a Jurassic sandstone reservoir located on the Mid-Norway Continetal Shelf. The work was based on core material, well logs, and thin section material provided by Statoil, Norway. During my work I had the opportunity to interpret the connections between sedimentary facies, sandstone petrology and diagenesis, and how they affect reservor properties. The study provided an explanation to why some (Jurassic) sandstone reservoirs, offshore Mid-Norway, see negative accumulation of reserves relative to PUD estimates.
