Professional Experience
• Responsible for the safe and efficient barge and tanker activities at the jetties, lorry loading, product inventory, records keeping and housekeeping of the terminal.
• Check the compliance to in-plant policies, practices, procedures, control, and guidelines on safety, oil loss, security, product receiving, storage and handling of petroleum products (unleaded gasoline, diesel, CME, ethanol, fuel oil and fuel additives) and environmental protection.
• As Jetty Operator:
o Ensure fire fighting facilities are operable in good condition and ready to use prior to any tanker/ barge activities
o Vessel inspection using ISGOTT Ship-Shore Checklist
o Product sampling, gauging, volume computation, cargo oil tank (COT) inspection and sealing.
o Hose handling and connection/ disconnection to/ from vessel.
o Monitor product movements to/from vessel at jetty.
o Operation of oily water recovery system after tanker activities when necessary.
• As Shore Technician:
o Performs good housekeeping and safety checklist of gantries and tank farms before start of lorry loading.
o Line up pumps, air compressors, valves and shore tanks for lorry loading and vessel loading/ offloading.
o Prepares additives for lorry loading and injects markers and colorants into shore tanks during tanker receiving.
o Inspects incoming and outgoing lorries for safety, quality and security compliance.
