Professional Experience
Refinery Shift Superintendent:
• Review entire refinery operation conditions.
• Meet and set expectations for supervising team members.
• Set job priorities basic on refinery master scheduler maintenance schedule.
• Meet with complex managers, refinery economic and planning and director of operations to set objectives and targets.
• Follow-up on daily crude tank reports and product quality report and made corrections if necessary to meet product spec.
• Support director of operations and plant manager in daily meeting.
• Communicate with all parties involve on unit operating conditions and report any deviations and limitation.
• Committed to delivering superior customer service; effectively build solid team work relations, promptly respond to needs and inquiries, respond professionally to and resolve escalated issues to ensure high levels of satisfaction.
• Act as area superintendent report to complex manager on CDU, SGU, Hydrogen production unit, Visbreaker operations, VGO Fractionation unit, Hydro-Treating, Hydro-Cracking, CDU, VDU, Delayed Coking, SRU, Hydrogen production unit and MDEA regeneration unit.

Work as shift Team Leader for Crude distillation unit, Vacuum distillation unit, Delayed Coker unit.
Demonstrate strong leadership, supervision and commitment skills among operation crew
Perform on the job training with operating crew on shift.
Plan and execute training schedule for operating crew.
Discuss unit start-up, shutdown and emergency procedures with operating crew.
Support technical department during Delayed Coker unit start-up and performance test.
Support technical department during Hydro-Cracker unit pre-commissioning and start-up.

• 20 years of progressive experience in refinery operations division, with comprehensive skills in technical and mechanical applications for upgrading and debottleneck of operations equipements to meet capacity.
• Dynamic supervision skills and strong leadership in facilitating technical, maintenance and training department with necessary support.
• Extensive knowledge on Hydro-Treating, Hydro-Cracking, CDU, VDU, Delayed Coking, SRU, Hydrogen production unit, MDEA regeneration unit and Visbreaker operations.
• Experienced in hiring, training, mentoring, coaching and supervising team members.
• Committed in the delivering excellence in customer service; effectively build solid team work relations, promptly respond to needs and inquiries, respond professionally to and resolve escalated issues to ensure high levels of satisfaction.
• PC Literate, with experience in, among others, Power Point, Word, Excel, Microsoft Publisher.
• Multilingual – English-Spanish-Dutch-Papiamento.
• Assist Conoco-Philips as patent holder on COKER unit with manual and procedures review, assist during start-up, performance test and unit hydraulic capacity test.
• Assist UOP on Hydro-Cracking unit pre-commissioning and start-up at Midor Ref.
• Have some basic experience on process unit chemical cleaning (ZYME FLOW) knowledge and Carber testing technology knowledge.
• Have knowledge and experience on equipment vessels and lines inspection.
