DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES
• Preparation of Method Statements, work instructions, QAP/ITP and all
procedures related to QA/QC.
• Knowledge of Codes and International Standards like ASME sections, AWS, ASNT & ASTM
• Conduct all stage-wise Inspection as per approved QCP/ITP with Client, Owner & Third Party.
• Visual Inspection and reporting of piping weld joints for materials like CS, SS, Alloy Steel, Cu-Ni & Inconel of different sizes (0.5 inch to 72 inches) as per ASME B31.3 standard.
• To conduct and evaluate non-destructive testing (RT, MPT, PT and UT) of weld joints as per ASME Section VIII acceptance standards
• Maintenance of Daily Reports / Inspection Reports etc.,
• Worked as a PT and MPT technician for various materials at different sites.
• Execute the vacuum test and air test
• Execution of welding TIG, MIG, SAW and SMAW
• Inspection on incoming material items according to purchase order and project requirements
• Check back gouging inspection for plate inside the root
• Detection of environmental cracking and fatigue cracking by various NDT methods
• Identified and inspect the materials from the warehouse
• Layout area. Checking the dimensions of the pipe as per the drawing and instruct to pipe
• Check daily Welder log and maintaining the welder¡¦s history records
• Review and execute Stress Analysis of weld metals, welding, radiography film and final acceptances of the pipe.
• Coordinate the Positive Materials Identification of the materials, weld metal and base metals.
• Review material test certificates and welding consumable batch certificates
• Monitoring welders and welding parameters Before, During and After Welding As per approved WPS
• Prepared traceability for steel and maintain the record as pre client requirement
