- monitors and controls utilities, raw materials storage and feed preparation areas by distributed process control system (Yokogawa Honeywell) for a gas phase polyethylene plant
- Starts-up operation of specific unit/ equipment through DCS functions to ensure adequate plant support system and quality feeds and to meet target throughput and quality feeds
- communicates and coordinates with designated Field Technicians in the execution of a specific control or operational procedures through DCS functions in accordance with the Working Operating Instructions and Area Engineer’s instructions through night and daily orders
- performs normal or controlled emergency shutdown and isolation through DCS function to minimize plant downtime, losses of materials and generation of off-specs products
- coordinates with the laboratory and provides specific action to maintain quality feeds and achieve product specification
