Project: Extraction Of Bio-fuel (in the form of ethanol) from Agricultural Waste


 Derived bio-fuel in the form of ethanol from agricultural waste (in this case molasses) . This was done by systematic extraction and break down of molasses into its constituent cellulose by both physical and enzymatic means. Afterwards this broken down cellulose is further degraded enzymatically by the test organism aspergillus cleavatus in a batch fermentor anaerobically to produce the resultant by-product ethanol, which is then extracted and quantified.

 The test was found out to be around 13 % efficient in terms of yield to mass ratio.


Training:


 Has undergone training under the Roche Kuwait and Yiaco Medicals in the Clinical Detection of H1N1 Virus under private contract with the Ministry Of Health Kuwait.
 Is well versed in the use of Real-Time PCR in the Detection of H1N1 Virus and its Mutant Strains.
 Can confidently handle complex Virology equipment like the MagnaPure , LightCycler 480 etc.
