HSE Engineer

A challenge position, utilizing ability developed through my education and experience, with the opportunity for professional growth based on performance.

o Drive the development and implementation of HSEMS throughout the company
o identify high risk activities and conduct risk assessment of potentially hazardous operations and recommends appropriate control procedures
o Monitor the use and implementation of PTW
o Review, update JSA procedures & risk assessment
o Review, update EAI
o Liaises with concerns mangers to conducts emergency plans
o Conducts audits on contractors &HES inspections
o Provides mentorship to field based HSE engineers
o Taking all measures necessary, including disciplinary, where non compliance with HSEMS and /or legislation is observed
o Promote HSE awareness
o Coordinate HSE issues for all types of projects (construction, commissioning, start up, drilling, operations, Onshore& Offshore )
o Reporting any hazard, potential hazard, accident or near miss of which they are aware
o Participate in facilities inspections
o Implementing immediate action in the event of minor pollution within the field and for assisting other organizations in the event of major or pollution problem
o Conduct, Review and monitor training in HSE (principles &practices)
o Carries out other similar or related duties such as carrying out various drills on assigned location (fire drills, evacuation drills, MEDEVAC drills, Man over Board drills, drills on the use of breathing apparatus, H2S drill, pit drills, Bomb threaten drills and gas leak drills).
o Ensure the safety of site and personnel through compliance with occupational safety and health regulations, and maintain the attitude that all accidents are preventable.
o Ensure HSE awareness within the field staff adequate to have safe working environment.
o Working as Helideck Landing Officer on Offshore activities.
Communicate with government HSE representatives.
