Job Responsibilities & Skills:
As a Data Engineer:- Monitor the Computer System (workstation). Networking among the computers and other equipments. Sensors & Gas System and geological equipment to be sure in good condition. Monitor Engineering status (drilling, circulating, connection, tripping, cementing, etc,) and be sure of it under right monitored by unit system. Be aware of the depth and bit position all the time. Calibration gas system and drilling sensors like Mud Pit Volume, MW In & out, Temp in & out, FLW out, H2S & Co2, Block Height, SPP, CUP, Drawwork, RPM, spm, hook load, torque, etc time to time. regular check sensors, gas trap, Hydrogen generator and air compressor. Check the filter of gas system and to be sure it is clean and flush out the gas line regular to keep it clean & dry. Set alarms in acceptable range so any abnormal condition to be found immediately. Check gas and drilling data oftenly for feeding high quality information to company man and wellsite geologist and be quick and efficient response to any requirement from company representative. Observe the mud logging crew during the job for the best quality services.

job responsibilities & skills

as a mud logging geologist - lithology description of ditch cutting, calcimetry, shale density test, analysis hydrocarbon evaluations, sidewall core and core samples and picking formation tops, side wall core points, and casing points. collection of geological, mud and drilling data for compile formation evaluation Llg (master log). preparing daily, mid night, weekly, monthly, drilling parameters, ascii gas-lithology, pdf file, sample, dispatch list and final well geological reports. mud monitoring and update mud monitoring sheet time to time. monitoring of drilling parameters, gases & chromatography and oil shows evaluation. calculated and check lag time and gas system. assist data engineer to monitor well status, data acquisition, process and engineering reports. instruct and observe the sample catcher to pack, label and dispatch of ditch cutting, vial, file, unwashed, geochemical, QFT samples, side wall core and core chips as specified by the operation company.
