Title:
“GIS Application in Groundwater Balance Studies in part of Korattalaiyar River Basin”
Involved data collection from 5 areas namely Thirutani, Redhills, Thirunintraur, and Arakkonam, this included collection of well data like water level depth, diameter of well, elevation and lat and long readings , rainfall, evaporation data. We also carried out a survey from the local people, utilizing the water for irrigational purposes and other domestic uses. After the data collection, we estimated the recharge and discharge of the wells.
