Where I was working as a Coating Inspector, my basic responsibilities are

 The Basic responsibility is Quality Control.
 Harmoniously managing day to day operations with a talent for Painting and Coating Operations, Quality Assurance, QMS Implementation & Compliance in line with industry best practices.
 Interfacing with Third party Inspection Agencies, Clients & Contractors. Attending & Conducting Pre-Inspection & Pre-Manufacturing Meetings.
 Undertaking execution, inspection and supervision of painting Jobs as per project specifications.
 Inspecting work in progress for conformance with the latest approved revisions of drawings and specifications and verifying that finished work meets acceptance criteria.
 Ensure all surface preparation and application is conducted in accordance with the specified standard for that painting system according to procedures/specifications.
 Monitoring and verifying blasting and painting quality issues i.e. measuring weather conditions, surface profile, paint thickness, holiday detection test to ensure compliance with relevant project specification.
 Preparing daily inventory of paint and consumables and order for the materials. Responsible for the preparation of all documentation work pertaining to site activity to the company management.

● FBE Coating on the field joints using induction coil method.
● Inspection of the joints, holiday inspection, salt test, and cross cut test& cure test, etc.

♦ Hypodermic Needle Pressure Gauge.

♦ Wet Sponge Pin Hole Detector.

♦ Dolly Test, Tooke gauge, Dry film thickness gauge,
Magnetic pull off gauge, Electromagnetic DFT gauge, Eddy current DFT gauge, etc.

♦ Sound knowledge of JOTUN & HEMPEL Painting products for Single Coat and Three Coat
Applications.

♦ Blasting and Painting and also periodic checking of blasting Profile, WFT and painting DFT.
