From May 2000 until March 2007: L/ MWD Lead Technician in Sperry Drilling Services.
My job involves the following tasks:
-Maintenance of the MWD (Measurement While Drilling) system: the MWD system involves the pulsers, probes (PCD’s and PCG’s) and ESS (electronic Single Shot) probes.
-Maintenance of the surface equipment: ISC computers, office computers, and all the Sperry electronic equipment.
-Maintenance of all type of transducers and encoders used in Sperry.
-Responsible for the installation of new field units, I also have the responsibility to check the MWD units before and after the jobs.
-Maintenance of LWD (logging while drilling) tools
-LWD tools build and dismantle before and after jobs.
-Checking solar tools: DM, BM, GM, and TM.
-Doing SAP paper work for the tools to be build and dismantled.
-Lab staff leading and training.
-Working in other Sperry location (Aberdeen ,Lafayette)
-My knowledge of three languages (Arabic, French and English) involves me in helping people from different nationalities to communicate and help them in the translation of technical documents.
