I am currently a HSE advisor in the oil and gas sector. I would like to obtain employment in the Health, Safety & Environmental field working as a Safety Advisor in a rotational position. I have my NCSO certificate and auditor’s certification.

2010 to Present, Contracted Safety Advisor for Apache Canada Ltd.
• Lead Safety Advisor for Horn River’s 24hr Con – Current Completions shale gas project
• Organization and implementation of daily safety meetings with worker participation, up to 125 workers on site per 12 hr shift, 24 hr pad.
• Facilitated Man down Drills, pack drills.
• A recap of the operation has been completed with contractors on site, identifying risk assessment and hazard management.
• Execution of Safe Work Permitting system (Hot Work, Confined Space, Critical lifts, Safe Work permits, and concurrent operations activities)

I work extremely well with others as I have taken a proactive approach to safety by helping everyone to achieve a safe work environment. I have a very strong knowledge base of safety regulations in both Alberta and BC. I was able to use this knowledge while developing site inspection forms for drilling, completions, construction, pipeline, transportation, and facilities and cross referencing them to government regulations and IRP’s (industry recommended practises). I am proficient in public speaking and using Power Point presentations which is an asset to holding monthly safety meetings with contractors. By having strong organizational skills, I am able to follow up with all recommendations to create a safe work site. I have effectively enhanced a positive mindset to safety and carried this thinking forward to the job site, resulting in positive actions and desired results.
