I am heading the Central Purchase Department of the two affiliates of TOTAL S.A in Pakistan (Total PARCO Pakistan Ltd & Total Atlas Lubricants Pakistan) both are oil marketing affiliates of world’s 4th largest energy group and am providing the leadership and management drive to (2 + 5 members) purchasing team members for strategic sourcing.
Business Impact:
1. Negotiate annual Purchasing spend value PKR 1800 Million (Imports & Local)
2. Achieve annual savings PKR 198m in Year 2008 and PKR 209m in Year 2009
3. TOP PERFORMER amongst 34 affiliates of TOTAL Oil S.A in Asia Pacific region for the second consecutive year 2008 and in 2009.
Role
• Develop Procurement Plan & Budget and ensure its execution within defined KPI
• Establish Purchase Strategies for meeting TOTAL’s business needs.
• Negotiate contracts for local purchases & imports.
• Organize supply & service agreements, tenders and bidding process.
• Manage the procurement activities, L/C, Sea ports and Customs matters.
• Implement the controls & best Practices in RFI, RFP, RFQ, CS, e-auctions.
• Do spend analysis and market assessments for achieving optimum TCO Model.
• Develop and implement control manuals, SOPs, policies & procedures.
• Gain leverage on vendor’s knowledge to deliver sustainable cost savings.
• Pre-qualification & selection of vendors in liaison with the key decision supporters.
• Sharing and communicating amongst cross functional teams.
• MIS reporting on budgets, KPI, savings, and variance analysis
• Initiator in implementation of global projects i.e. e-auctions, ERP and MIS Tools
• Demonstrate leadership skills and work within TOTAL guidelines.
