My Last Job I had was as a Mechanical Advisor for 3 off-shore platforms, listed below are a few of the day to day responsabilaties and duties I had.
•Managing a work group of 15 Technicians.
•Managing and planning of PM’s and corrective work, e.g. Turbine engines, crude oil, Sea water lift pumps (SWLP), HP pumps, crude oil shipping pumps, compressor units, diesel engines and all emergency standby equipment.
•Performing root cause analysis (RCA’s) on equipment failure, recommendations and mitigation plans to reduce future breakdowns of equipment.
•Planning and executing of all modifications, upgrades and installations of new equipment.
•Planning and assisting of turbine engine change outs and major PM’s on turbine packages.
•Managing and ordering of spares for current and future repairs and PM’s.
•Performing of OTP (operations training program), MTP (maintenance training program) training for operations and maintenance technicians. (Practical and theoretical.).
