Security Manager

• With the wealth of experience that I gained from the Army during the military service of over 22 years in the field of Command, Administration, Logistics and Security Management.

In initiating the highlights of my experience during 22 years of Military service, it would be appropriate to state that I passed out as an Officer from the Sri Lanka Military Academy in 1989 after military training and was commissioned in the rank of second lieutenant.

During the above period of service in the military, I have served in all three main capacities ie Command, Training and Staff. Major part of my service has been devoted for operational deployment both in high intensity battle situations and in peace time operations. I had the opportunity of holding almost all the important Command appointments that should be held by a career Military Officer. As enumerated in my short job description, Command includes administration of troops under command which is a challenging task in operational conditions .As called for in the job that I am applying for; I have hands on experience in performing under pressure and stressful conditions. I have mastered the art of overcoming stress factor and have the ability to work under such conditions for prolonged periods without any difficulty. Operational planning, integrated contingency planning and execution of them have been the main focus of my training and the role that I played subsequently as part of my job.

• Masters Degree in Defense and Strategic studies- Army Command and Staff College affiliated to University of Kelaniya. (2003- 2004)

• Diploma in Unit Officers Logistics Studies, Army Logistics Command, Panagda, Homagama.(1997)

• Diploma in Senior Military Officers Information Technology(IT) course at Army Headquarters, Colombo (2003)

• Diploma in Human Resources Management – Kothalawala, Defense Academy Rathmalana, Colombo (2002)
