Project Manager / Project Engineer

The key responsibilities include project management of pressure equipment manufacture to ASME V111 Division 1 & 2 and AS 1210 and associated Standards, for Pressure Vessels, Skids, LPG Bullets and Reactors manufactured by KNM in Fabrication Shops in Malaysia. Responsibilities include liaison with local and overseas statutory authorities and design verifiers, for design approval from DOSH, Malaysia, Worksafe Western Australia, and OSH NZ.

As a Project Manager for projects executed in Malaysia and overseas, the duties include single point of contact with customers through meetings and weekly / monthly tele-conference call.
Also, ensuring engineering & QA/QC documents are prepared and issued to customers on a timely manner. Involvement in Kick off, and Pre-inspection meetings and implementation of actions arising from those meetings. Monitor procurement of main components and provide progress status reports to management and customers.
Responsible for planning and scheduling associated with the engineering services and EPCC project. Prepare project planning / control, progress measurement and reporting procedure to carry out critical path analysis of the schedule to identify & establish the critical path activities. Involved in conducting cost analysis, cost control and monitoring budget.

As a Senior Project Engineer, I was responsible for initiating project execution in conjunction with the Project Manager.

Job functions included familiarization of project specifications and requirements, material take off, material requisition, scheduling and monitoring of projects by liaising with inter-departments, with procurement, design & engineering, production, QA/QC departments and sub-contractors.
Other duties included the preparing of progress reports for dissemination to management and corresponding with clients. Also, the duties include the establishment of RFQ and preparation for analysis of sub-contractors’ quotation, and added responsibility of maintaining project budget and cost control.
