Civil Engineer

I am an ambitious graduate Civil engineer looking for the appropriate firm in which I can both develop myself and also benefit the firm I will be working for. I believe the best quality I posses is that I’m a fast learner.

I am currently working for a contracting company as a graduate Civil Engineer. Even though it is my first full-time job yet I believe that I have been assigned major responsibility after the first 3 months at work.
My main responsibilities include:
• Supervising at project sites ensuring work is done according to the project schedule. Any work to be done is noted down and then I directly report them to the company manager, who also happens to be the client/owner of the projects.
• I personally provide the materials and equipments at site if there is any shortage of supply.
• Communicating as well as liaising with the site foreman to ensure all is according to plan at site, if not then we have to think of solutions and act upon them quickly. Any problems at site are reported to me and in turn I present and discuss them with our manager/owner.

Relevant modules studied included Feasibility studies and Civil Engineering Design, both in which I developed a deeper understanding of Civil engineering structures, from planning to final detailed design.

My final year project was titled ‘’ Recycled aggregates in the use concrete’’. The main aim of this project was to see if Recycled aggregates could be used as a substitute for Natural aggregates in concrete.
