Professional Experience

• September 2009 - July 2010 worked in North Lebanon with MORES S.A.R.L as a Field Scientist/Geologist (Part time) developing a Database for Water Resources and Infrastructures in North Lebanon funded by the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) and North Lebanon Water Establishment. Attended Consultation meetings with North Lebanon Water Establishment’s individual offices; used GPS system with high resolution and accuracy for data collection, data analysis and processing about water reservoirs, pumping stations, wells and springs; subsequently inputting the information into a GIS database for use by the ministry of energy and water resources in decision making, master planning and resource allocation.
• September 2009 - July 2010 worked in Akkar, Lebanon with MORES S.A.R.L as a Field Scientist/Geologist (Part Time) to produce a Draft Hydrogeological analysis in the Qammoua Region and its Surroundings; Development of Risk and Vulnerability Assessment Maps in the Zone, funded by the Comitato Internationale Perlo Sviluppo Dei Popoli (CISP). Assessment of morphology, aquifers topology, structural geology, water catchment, stratigraphy, formations, development of maps and digitized geology, pollution sources, water sources, Analysis of watersheds, Vulnerability analysis of aquifers and draft water resource management plan development with different scenarios for sustainable exploitation of water resources.
• June 2010 Worked in Mount Lebanon with the Bchamoun Municipality as a Field Scientist/Geologist using geologic and topographic maps, assessment of stratigraphy, formations and structural geology to identify the local water aquifers for future exploitation.
• July – August 2009 Field work course in Laqlouq area for American University of Beirut two months of field work using aerial photos, geologic and topographic maps to assess the stratigraphic, geomorphologic and structural aspects of the area, inputting the gathered data using Corel Draw to produce a geologic map of the Laqlouq area and argued the results in front of the chairman of geology and achieved the highest grade in the class.
• June – September 2008 and June – September 2009 Worked for a (family business) Internet Café as a Cashier and Assistant Manager.

Eductation

September 2007-February 2011 Received a Bachelor of science degree in Petroleum Geology from the American University of Beirut with a GPA of 76%. During my years at A.U.B I have studied several major courses such as Sedimentology, Stratigraphy, Mineralogy, Optical Mineralogy, Petrology, Petroleum Geology, Structural Geology, Geomorphology and done a field work project. I have also studied a graduate course which is Geophysics.

on July 2007 i have graduated from the International School of Choeifat receiving the Official Lebanese Baccalaureate of Life Sciences.

• Experienced in the softwares Corel Draw, MS Word, MS Excel and MS Power Point.

• September 2009 – February 2011, American University of Beirut member of the Geology Student Society. Senior Students’ Representative (September 2009 – June 2010) Vice President (September 2010 – February 2011) Assisted in the organization of lecture “Earthquakes impact on Lebanon”, organized several activities for the geology student society members like dinners and field trips to different locations in Lebanon, organized the club’s activities during the AUB outdoors.
• 2007 – 2010, Junior member of Nadi Bchamoun (Bchamoun Youth Organization). Assisted in the organization of several activities like football tournaments, basketball tournaments and carnivals.
