In ITC Ltd, which is one of the biggest FMCG companies in India, the profile handled by me was that of Assisting the Group Category Finance Manager. During my tenure in ITC I have handled the following job portfolio.

1. Managing the financials of two business categories with a turnover of over Rs. 1250 Crs in an SAP environment.

2. Actively involved in the Monthly Closing of the books of accounts and the report-backs.

3. Actively in touch with the operations team in optimizing the quantity and location of Production.

4. Actively involved with the Brand Team in determining the pricing of products.

5. Responsible for Valuation of Inventories.

6. Active role in the preparation of Business plans

7. Analysis and reporting the variances, there reasons and corrective measures.

8. Actively involved in developing and implementing new pricing strategies.

9. Headed the MIS team of the Categories which is responsible for providing various data and reports to the Top Management within the division and also to the Corporate Division.

10. Involved in finalizing the category related accounts and coordination with statutory auditors/Internal/Divisional Auditors.

11. Contributed significantly in identifying the areas for Cost Control and implementing the cost control measures.

12. Involved in the negotiations for fixing the contract manufacturing charges with the third party contract manufacturing units.

13. Managing a 17 member finance team.

14. Recruitment and training of new entrants in this area.
