Professional Experience
Halliburton – Consulting & Project Management
(Ciudad del Carmen, México) 2008 – Present
Consultant Production Sr.
Client: Petróleos Mexicanos (PEMEX)
“FEL Cantarell Project”
Achievements included:
- Successful application of DMS-MBAL / DMS-GAP workflows for stochastic evaluation in 6 Cantarell Integral Asset reservoir models.
- Material balance (MBAL) and GAP (PETEX) models building.
- Probabilistic characterization of reservoir and production uncertainty variables included in reservoir models (Material Balance and analytical) for probabilistic profiles generation.
•Technical documentation under “Front End Loading” methodology.
Sincrudos de Oriente, SINCOR (Caracas, Venezuela) 2005 - 2007
Reservoir Monitoring Engineer
•Achieved optimization of production potential in 50 assigned extra heavy oil wells (over 60000 Bbl/Day of associated oil) through proposals and actions oriented towards fulfilling established production profiles.
•Successfully assigned several times to SINCOR´s Main Station (Field location) for “on-site” reservoir monitoring/production optimization (+/- 220 horizontal wells producing 200000 BPD of oil). These assignments also included monitoring of reservoir operations activities.
•Special and active participation as Reservoir Monitoring Engineer in the “Remedial Wellbore Cleanout Jobs - Pilot Project” which helped SINCOR to obtain additional 600000 barrels of oil from 7 wells where the pilot was applied in a two year period.
•Design, programming and follow up of reservoir operations technical programs (pressure tests, well-testing programs) and pilot projects for new technologies (“remedial wellbore cleanout jobs”, slotted liners with special characteristics).
Baker Hughes – Baker Oil Tools (Anaco, Venezuela) 2004 - 2005
Trainee Engineer
Successfully assigned as Trainee Field Engineer to several drilling-completion field operations in very remote locations under demanding conditions both physically and mentally.
•Field operation experience included - (gravel packing, liner hangers, cementing jobs, completions, fishing) in wells of different operator companies in Venezuela. Assembly and maintenance of tools: packers, liner hangers, fishing tools, sand control tools.
