Maintenance Planner skilled in spare parts material management

Professional Experience

1. Rotating Equipment Coordinator working through Euro Mechanical & Electrical Contractors at Abu Dhabi Gas Industries (GASCO), Habshan (Mar’08 – Present)

Ø Maintenance planning for the activities of the rotating equipment section. The planning is done based on the maintenance policy, equipment running hours, availability of resources – spares, man power & support section assistance. Planning includes five year plan, yearly shutdown plan, monthly, weekly & daily plans. The shutdown plan to be tailored to co-ordinate with the overall company shutdown plan.

Ø Material coordination for the rotating equipment section in the maintenance department. Involved in raising purchase request for materials, coordinating with the head office and with the vendors. Typically the value of the purchase requisitions ranges from $3,000 to $50,000. Through my efforts I have been able to get the quotes faster & expedite the placing of purchase orders and assured the availability of the spares at the needed time.

Ø Raising work orders & making spares reservation for shut down as per the maintenance policy followed by the company. As the lead times for most components could range from 12 to 36 weeks I planned ahead and placed the
orders well in advance to have the material on site at the required time.

Ø Raising purchase requisitions for spares of pumps, compressors & turbines of various makes like Sulzer, Ingersoll Rand, Flowserve, Nuovo Pignone, Demag, General Electric LM2500, Siemens & models. I buy more than 2,500 spare parts for about 350 different pieces of equipment.

Ø Inspection of spares on arrival - for correctness/suitability as per site conditions. On inspection I reject around 2 to 5 % of the parts for incorrect supply (reasons being part numbers not matching, component damaged in transit, parts not complete as per PO).

Ø Proficiency in working on different modules in the Maximo maintenance planning software package 4.1.1 & 6.2
