Maintenance Engineer (Electrical/Mechanical) Lean Coordinator

Main responsibilities in Maintenance
• Preparing annual preventive maintenance plan for the factory equipment and machinery (about 100 machines vary in size from 100-Ton press to simple desktop computers).
• Implement and improve maintenance plan, procedures and methods which is designed to minimize if not eliminate all unplanned equipment outages and breakdowns.
• Preparing annual purchase requests for spare parts, tools and consumables covering the preventive maintenance.
• Inspecting received purchased materials and equipments and final receiving acceptance.
• Handling monthly and yearly reports for maintenance activities and their key performance indicators.
• Setting up new machines and prepare its preventive maintenance procedure plus its risk assessment sheet.
• Preparing major repair plans to obtain best time / cost / manpower / tools efficiency optimization and then report it to the top management.
• Handling workload distribution among technicians.
• Responding immediately to equipment breakdowns, diagnosing breakdown problems then add/modify preventive procedures which will prevent the occurrence of such breakdown again.
• Increase technician’s awareness and experience by creating yearly professional training and courses plan also instruct in some simple internal trainings.
Main responsibilities as a LEAN coordinator
• Responsible for executing the Lean deployment plan in support of the Lean transformation.
• Leader for deployment of needed LEAN knowledge including the deployment of LEAN tools.
• Facilitate workshops and/or departments to focus improvement, transfer knowledge, and engage team members, managers and leaders in activities supporting the business process LEAN transformation.
• Responsible for working with department managers in identifying areas for process improvement events, establishing objectives for each project, and selecting cross-functional team members and leaders.
• Develop a comprehensive report which delineates the status and outcomes of each event, including, but not limited to efficiencies gained, increased customer satisfaction and or reduced costs or savings realized.
