Briefly, my job description includes performing PFD's, PI&D's, Safety review/approval, process simulations, equipment sizing, process calculations, and optimization studies.

•Perform Mass and heat balance, equipment design and rating.
•De-bottlenecking and unit revamp including equipment preliminary design and rating.
•Responsible for technical assistance for Delayed Coker Unit.
•Support the technical assistance to Crude, Vacuum distillation and Hydro-cracker units.
•Monitoring & controlling the performance of assigned process units. Also monitoring the equipments individually, advising the Operations Dept. to get the maximum efficiency of the operating units.
•Assist in setting and maintaining optimum operating conditions.
•Use simulation program PROII & HYSYS to solve different problems and monitor unit performance.
•Participate in the performance evaluation for my assigned units and plant turnaround.
•Participate in plant test runs after turnaround.
•Evaluate chemical test-run tenders.
•Following up the construction work according to the approved equipment mechanical drawings, process data sheets & PID’s for raising any construction problem to the management level to solve it with the constructor.
•Participate in any revamp or PFCP (Process and facilities change proposal) in my assigned units through reviewing its related process design package (PDP).
•Revised the PDP of Delayed Coker licensor (CONOCO Phillips) and vendor (Technip/Italy) for my assigned unit expansion project (adding a third heater cell to the two existing ones to increase the unit capacity).
•Participate in any HAZOP in my assigned units, especially the last one with Technip/Italy and CONOCO Phillips for our Delayed Coker heater expansion project.
•Participated in pre-commissioning/ commissioning/ start-up activities staff of our delayed Coker expansion project and any approved process and facilities change proposal.
•Participated in I/O (input/output), loop and function tests activities staff of our delayed Coker expansion project and any approved process and facilities change proposal.
•Participated in risk based inspection RBI study for delayed Coker unit.
•Use standards and codes (API, ASTM, TEMA….. ETC) for monitoring, controlling, optimizing, selection, sizing, installation and maintenance of various equipments related to my assigned process units and
•Maintain a safe working environment with respect to the company regulations regarding health and safety.
