As Shift Manager in Energy Management Department
. Ensure Critical Services for the Production Departments for their smooth operation, hot metal and liquid steel production by providing gases like COREX Gas, BF gas, Coke Oven Gas, L.D Gas, LPG, special gases (Oxygen, Nitrogen and Argon), steam, coal and coal dust.
. Responsible for the Operation and maintenance of moist fuel gas-lines and special gas-lines.
. Continuous monitoring of plant status and processes through Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) System.
. Optimum Utilization of by-product gases with target of zero flaring and minimizing the consumption of purchased fuel.
. Department ISO documentation.
. Continual improvement in operation and maintenance practices.
. Responsible for the Operation and maintenance of Gas Holders, Gas Boosting Stations and Gas Mixing Stations.
. Co-ordinating Project Activities in Gas Lines.
. Co-ordinating the daily Shift Activities in Gas lines Maintenance.
. Co-ordination with all the consumers and ensuring the requisite quality and quantity of supply and to minimize the downtime of gas supply.
. Collecting and Tabulating Daily Shop Consumption for Analysis and preparing Daily, Monthly and yearly Energy Reports (including MIS reports).
. Planning and control of resources, consumables, spares and manpower towards optimum utilization.
. Providing Costing Details for the Costing Department.
. Providing Utilizations of various gases and consumptions of different shops for Production Planning and Control Department.
. To impart in-house functional training to shift technicians and associate employees.
. Establish and ensure safe working practices and achieving zero accident targets.
