OIM responsibilities:
Directly and indirectly manage daily overall rig activities, in accordance with the company’s policies and procedures and client’s requirements.
Effectively manage and coordinate the activities of all departments to ensure the work is carried out in a safe, efficient and responsible manner within regulatory guidelines.
Be familiar with the company safety policy and supervise and set an example to maintain safety and discipline in all matters affecting performance, health, safety and welfare of all persons on the MODU. Communicate, in a timely manner, any new standards, incidents and risks with rig personnel. Ensure that the company’s safety standards are complied with fully and provide feedback as to the reasons this policy is in place.
Be responsible for setting goals toward improving performance, quality and safety aboard the MODU.
Work with all depts. to maintain control of the budget and inventory.
Maintain a clear line of communication between personnel on the rig and onshore drilling mgrs.
Promote and encourage training of rig personnel.Supervise emergency drills to ensure readiness in the event of an emergency.
Perform inspections in all areas of the MODU, work with HOD’s implementing any maintenance, needed repairs or corrections to be performed in a timely manner.
Excellent safety record.
Worked on numerous shipyard refurbishment projects.
