Operation head Project Incharge

Work Experience
1. Oswal Oman Caustic FZCO.
I am responsible for project for setting up a Chlor alkali unit-1000TPD, at Oman based on Chlorine Engineers’ n-BITEC technology and 1231TPD EDC based on Ineos technology.
Key mile stone achieved till date:
Selection of Technology
Review of Basic engineering documents (CEC / Ineos)
Review of detailed engineering documents (SNC / STX )
Review of Vendors’ offers.
Completed the HAZOP Study and incorporating HAZOP comments.
Cost estimate.
2. Grasim Industries Limited.
I was responsible for Caustic Soda Operation activities of 325 TPD Plant based on Uhde Technology and 400 TPD plant based on AKCC Technology as Sr. General Manager (Operations).
We Commissioned first 5th Generation electrolysers of Uhde technology. We improved the brine quality fed to electrolyser to regain in cell efficiency and power consumption.
3. Indian Rayon.
I have worked as Technical head for its 250 TPD Caustic Soda Plant.

We have done successful commissioning of Caustic Evaporation unit and Flaking unit and addition of one more electrolyser to enhance productivity of plant.
Capacity of Caustic evaporation and Flaking unit increased from 100 TPD to 225 TPD and 75 TPD to 170 TPD respectively.
Capacity of Caustic plant increased from 175 TPD to 225 TPD and debottlenecking done for 300TPD Plant.


4. Grasim Industries Limited

SPECIAL ASSIGNMENT AT BCCL from July 2004 to July 2006:
I have worked as project in charge for 225 TPD membrane cell plant based on Uhde technology for our group unit - Bihar Caustic & Chemicals Limited. Project cost 1125 million rupees.
I did all techno-commercial negotiation for BCCL project along with follow up and finalisation of technical details with Uhde.
I Commissioned the Bihar Caustic & Chemicals Limited’s plant in 18 months time.
LAST RESPONSIBILITIES AT GRASIM:
Production in charge for caustic soda plants:
Membrane cell based on Krupp Uhde Technology (320 TPD) & Mercury cell plant based on Denora Technology (180 TPD).
I have commissioned and well-operated Membrane cell plant for around 10 years.
Capacity of Caustic plant increased from 260 TPD to 320 TPD.
I posses exceptional experience as Outstanding Group Leader for achieving synergy in operation within our group units’ chemical plants. I also contributed in solving the problems of Aditya Birla Group units.
