• My original hire date was 08/02/1982 but due to industry-wide layoffs occurring that year my hire date was moved to 01/02/1983.
• Duties included running analysis on all processed and finished product streams.
• I was also responsible for the training of coworkers, disseminating information from management and seeing that management requests were carried out.
• Double checking all information entered into LIMS. Answering questions and taking requests made by operations.
• Keeping track and maintaining data generated by our RFG analysis.
• Maintaining, calibrating and using laboratory equipment including, but not limited to GC, GC/MS and XRF.

EMT ( Emergency Medical Technician) / Fireman
06/1981 - 08/1982 Port Barre Fire Dept.
• Successfully completed the practical test for the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians and ended my employment with the rank of Captain.
• Main duties were to be ready on a moments notice to coordinate and direct a firefighting team made up of fulltime and volunteer firefighters to respond and put out fires of any type as quickly and safely as possible. If it were a medical call, I had to be ready for any type of injury and to be able to do triage, call in any extra help as necessary and work with local and state authorities to assist in controlling the accident scene.
• Other duties involved the proper maintenance and readiness of firefighting and ambulance equipment.
