I am highly interested in the field engineer position and shall request you to consider my candidature for the same. I believe my background provides a good foundation for me to build the skills required to excel in such a dynamic business vertical .

Professional Experience

• Conducted technical research analysis for successful commercialization of five different technologies in chemical and petrochemical sectors. Identified the white space and patent landscape for new product development resulting in commercialization of new technologies.
• Worked in a team and submitted technical proposals on emerging energy technologies to Government of India and private companies.
• Analyzed the research and commercial landscape for “biomass to chemicals”. Devised a research and commercial framework for evaluating new concepts/ technologies. Identified the white space for new research projects in the new and renewable energy sector.
• Applied chemical engineering concepts and advised a Indian chemical major on the next generation integrated power plant/chemical plant. Conducted site visits and devised the technical specifications necessary for the successful operation of the plant. Incorporated theoretical and experimental results into the blueprint for the new installation
• Applied theoretical chemical engineering concepts and assisted team on a new invention in the water treatment sector. Responsible for setting the theoretical framework for evaluating reaction kinetics.

Additional Information

Title of Project:Master Thesis Project,IIT Kharagpur,May 2009-April 2010
Theoretical prediction of phase inversion and flow patterns for different orientations
•Achievements: Very limited work has been done on this field. The zone of operation of the extractor is calculated. The result is new in the field and would help tremendously in the field of mini reactors and transportation of oil.
Title of Project:Bachelor Thesis Project,IIT Kharagpur,Jan 2008-May 2009
Study of Phase Inversion and its effect on mass transfer in mini channels for liquid-liquid flow leading to process intensification
•Achievements: It would reduce the cost of extraction cost in mini channels up to 50 %.Two operation points are achieved, depending upon the cost of extract phase and solvent the operating point is chosen.
•Paper accepted in international Journal ,Chemical Engineering Processing(Elsevier Publication) titled
‘Phase Inversion and its effect on Mass transfer in Millimeter sized conduits: Process Intensification’
•Paper selected for presentation in an international conferences, ISHMT (Indian Society for Heat and Mass Transfer) 4th -6th Jan 2010,IIT Bombay
Internship:University of California, Berkeley, USA May-July 2008
Study of Chemical Composition of Plants’ cell wall by Raman Spectroscopy
•Achievements: The protocol was one of the first of its kind to be devised for the 3-D imaging of plant cell wall for the production of bio fuels.
