Project Engineer in E&P division of Reliance Industries Limited, Mumbai. I am working at RIL since 02/07/2007.

Job responsibilities
• Perform feasibility study and Pre FEED analysis for development of offshore oil and gas blocks.
• Strategize a number of process schemes from well head to customer.
• Perform hydraulic calculations for subsea pipelines and sizing of equipments.
• Generate Process flow diagrams and extract bill of material from the same.
• Selection of offshore installation vessels, estimate the time required and cost for the same.
• Develop cost estimation for the offshore field and provide it along the lifecycle of the project. Emphasis is laid on both material cost and offshore installation cost.
• Prepare scope of work for activities such as offshore geophysical, geotechnical surveys, onshore pipeline route survey, onshore site survey, concept study and feasibility study
• Evaluate Bid documents, create Vendor Qualification criteria and finalize the contractor.
• Evaluate the documents and reports submitted by the contractor.
• Prepare annual budgets for work intended to be carried out next year.
• Monitoring piping fitup, welding, testing and coating at site.
• Ensure resource availability for completion of work.
• Act as a focal point for discussions with the contractor.


I worked as a pipeline engineer at Gujarat State Petronet Limited (GSPL) from 5th June 2006 to 31st March 2007. Worked on Anand – Rajkot gas pipeline project (Spread A). The pipeline is of 24” diameter and 123 KM in length.

Job responsibilities
• Monitoring and control of pipeline laying, welding, station piping fitup, welding, testing and coating at site.
• Monitoring hydro test activities and carry out air volume calculations on pipeline.
• Dewatering and swabbing of pipeline.
• Check the installations laid with P&IDs.
• Monitor the progress of construction as per the plan.
• Keep track of HSE activities at site.
